Funding is needed to: 1) acquire adjacent forest lands linking The Bosque to the nearby Braulio Carrillo National Park; 2) develop the Bosque Lluvioso Exploratory, a scientific research station and ecotourist destination designed to protect several thousand hectares of primary rainforest; 3) establish educational facilities including wildlife, plant-life, and sustainable design pavilions where visitors can gain a greater appreciation for the ecology of rainforest habitat at the Bosque and the methods developed by the Exploratory to protect it; and, 4) preparation and dissemination of educational materials on the value of the world’s rainforests.

Becoming a member of The Bosque Lluvioso Foundation means you will participate in the preservation,  restoration and educational lessons about some of the world’s most magnificent tropical rainforest lands in Costa Rica. Membership entitles you to a discount on rainforest tours, periodic newsletters, and for sustaining members and above, a Bosque Lluvioso Río Costa Rica T-shirt. Note: The Bosque Lluvioso Foundation is tax-exempt under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. Donations are therefore tax-deductible for the donor to the fullest extent established by law.
